KISMET
When Thonet meets the Orient, you find yourself at the Kismet restaurant in Munich. Beneath a baldachin-like skylight in the midst of dark green tiles and violet-blue pillows, the bright bentwood classics 215 P rival the delicate wall lamps. The 60 chairs were taken over from the former owner of the venue – an old bakery – and sanded down, making the naturalness of the wood visible and each chair unique. Freshly covered with a night-blue fabric and thanks to their graceful formal language, they harmoniously fit in with the concept of the space designed by Nitzan Cohen. Along with the oriental vegan delicacies, they invite users on a Middle Eastern journey for all the senses.
