The internationally operating law firm Morrison & Foerster has one of its 16 sites in the centre of Berlin on Potsdamer Platz. The law firm decided to use Thonet chairs from programme ranges S 32/S 64 and S 840 to furnish the offices. The frames and leather covers of the Thonet furniture are universally black, which makes them harmoniously fit in with the timeless interior design concept characterised by plenty of wood.
In the law firm’s conference areas, the biggest room was furnished with upholstered chairs model S 64 PV with armrests covered with black nappa leather and with tubular steel frames lacquered in deep black. Other meeting rooms were furnished with the same model, and the S 32 without armrests is used in the kitchen area. Thanks to their cantilever effect, the classics of Marcel Breuer guarantee high sitting comfort. Armchairs models S 84 and S 843 E (with high backrest) are grouped around smaller conference tables in other spaces. This design unites the functionality of an office chair with the comfort of a living room armchair. The design, due to its comfortable upholstery and ergonomic form with an open backrest structure, is qualified for use in sophisticated working environments.
