The World Conference Center was completed in the former government district of Bonn. Next to the old waterworks and the former plenary hall, the newly designed main building now provides a versatile setting for congresses, meetings, conferences and evening events of all kinds. The Thonet chairs from programme range S 360 are flexible in their use, stackable and easy to link without additional elements, and they are a perfect solution for the various purposes.
Alongside historical buildings and contemporary architecture, the unique World Conference Centre also includes inviting green areas and, of course, cutting-edge technology as well as high-quality furnishings. Interior designers Heinle, Wischer und Partner from Stuttgart used 3,900 chairs model S 362 PFST by Delphin Design for the large auditorium in the main building. This version of the chair, developed for open-plan seating, is characterised by its single-piece seat shell. The chairs in black stained beech and the Gabriel “Step Melange” cover fabric in the same colour underline the elegant ambience of the venue while establishing distinct points of reference in the spacious hall. In addition, special traverses with 930 additional seats for the gallery were manufactured in the same style. 1,700 matching chair covers from Thonet are available for more festive events.
