ELBPHILHARMONIE
In the beginning of 2017, the world-class concert hall – which the Hamburg citizens amicably call “Elphi” – was officially inaugurated with plenty of international interest: since the first concert, the Elbphilharmonie, which was designed by the Zurich architectural office Herzog & de Meuron, has been fascinating people with its extraordinary acoustics and expressive architecture. Not only does the listening experience in the large hall leave a lasting impression with visitors, but the small hall and the Kaistudio also have quite a lot to offer. They were furnished with a total of 760 Thonet chairs of range S 160 designed by Delphin Design which can be stacked quickly and in a space saving way and also has a simple yet sophisticated linking mechanism, especially developed by Thonet.
