With its Thonet furniture, the management board conference area of “Stromnetz Hamburg” is now optimally equipped for long meetings. The 11.2 m long and 1.6 m wide table system of model A 1700 Evolution (design: Uwe Sommerlade), which was especially developed for the conference and training segment, offers plenty of room for the 28 very comfortable conference chairs S 95 by Randolf Schott of the Thonet Design Team.
The long A 1700 Evolution table excels as a custom-tailored version with semi-circular ends that lend an oval shape to the tabletop, enlarging the surface for additional seats. The tabletops have a mauve-coloured linoleum surface with a natural beech edge. The table legs build a visual bridge with the polished aluminium chair frames. The upholstered seats of swivel chair S 95 in a soft brown-green lend a calm elegance to the seating group. The new furnishing of the conference area of “Stromnetz Hamburg” was realised as part of a conversion managed by the Berlin-based planning office GRAEF.
