HV Pavillon, GGA gardini gibertini architects, Italy
In the Tuscan foothills of Maremma, the HV Pavillon residence designed by architects GGA gardini gibertini is surrounded by olive groves. HV Pavillon is designed as a spatial continuum: a fluid interplay between interior and exterior spaces. Externally, the building features strong lines, with compact and cohesive proportions and a contemporary feel. Eight cubes arranged around a central courtyard create the symmetrical footprint of the pavilion.
The technical construction of the façades, meanwhile, pays homage to the local tradition of dry stone walling, complemented by wooden infills in a throwback to the region’s traditional farm buildings. In this way, the building combines local tradition and materials with modern architecture.
