HUTHMACHER
A space in the east of Berlin that is an absolute dream: on two storeys with a total of 550 square metres, a Berlin based artist realised his own ideas of a live-work studio workshop. The spacious building in Berlin Schöneweide, which the artist bought in 2009, offers plenty of room for creativity. Generous light conditions additionally ensure an optimal working environment. Built around 1915 the space is furnished with chairs from the Thonet programme range S 32, Marcel Breuer's tubular steel classic from the year 1929/30. The cantilever chairs created during Breuer's Berlin years provide a discrete elegance in the eat-in kitchen and working area of the live-work studio workshop with their aesthetic reduction and clarity. Their comfortable flexing effect and generous upholstery also ensure a high level of seating comfort.
