The new building of Hengst in Münster is a modern, communicative campus that underlines the innovativeness of the globally active specialist for filtration. The planning and interior design office freiraum banked on Thonet furniture for the interior: in the generous entrance area, a seating group of four honey-brown club chairs S 832 in nappa leather welcomes the guests. The ensemble is completed with two Thonet side tables 1025 in light oiled ash; their playful elegance perfectly harmonises with the flowing lines of the chairs. The comfortable, fully upholstered chairs invite visitors and employees to relax and wait or stay for a while in the office waiting areas and in “Walter’s”, the company restaurant. 

The functionally designed office and meeting rooms are furnished with 40 cantilever chairs S 56 in anthracite nappa leather – with their soft, upholstered one-piece seat shell and the comfortable armrests, the elegant conference chairs enable comfortable sitting even during long meetings. At “Walter’s” restaurant, more than 150 chairs with armrests from range S 160 in light and dark grey as well as joyful yellow are used. The seating is complemented with nine barstools that are both elegant and practical: for S 123, designer James Irvine banked on an upholstered seat and curved bracket that serves as a comfortable footrest and, at the same time, refers to Thonet’s tubular steel tradition.
