In the Dutch city of ‘s-Heerenberg located in the province of Gelderland, a former monastery today fulfils a wide range of functions. Here, the community houses a youth and family institution, homes for seniors, a tourism office as well as the police station. A multi-purpose, light-flooded conference room inside the building was furnished with a total of 32 Thonet chairs range S 840 by Lepper Schmidt Sommerlade.
Model S 845 DRW with five-star swivel base and special castors was used, allowing the chairs to be effortlessly moved across the large carpet. All chairs are placed centrally in the room around a large, oval conference table system. The textile upholstery in light blue and seat shells made of lightened oak wood complete the pleasant interior design world of the space. The ergonomic form and special upholstery provide the chairs equipped with tilt mechanisms with a high level of seating comfort. This project was realised by the “Concepts and Images” planning office.
