The “Enoteca Turi” managed by Giuseppe and Pamela Turi promises Italian flair in the heart of London. In 1990, Giuseppe Turi, a sommelier from the south of Italy who moved to the British capital in 1985, opened his restaurant in South West London. After more than 25 years at that location, the “Enoteca Turi” moved to Pimlico Road in the centre of London close to the River Thames to fascinate its guests with Italian cuisine and an exclusive selection of wines.
Hilfe bei der Gestaltung der neuen Räumlichkeiten holte sich das Gastronomenpaar von dem in London ansässigen Architekturbüro DRAISCI STUDIO LTD. Dieses schuf mit einer an eine sonnige, italienische Landschaft erinnernden Farbgestaltung eine warme und intime Atmosphäre. Rund 50 Thonet-Stühle des Modells 404 und 404 F in Nussbaum gebeizt fügen sich – teilweise gepolstert und mit cognac- sowie bordeauxfarbenem Lederbezug – harmonisch in den Gastraum sowie den Private-Dining-Bereich im Untergeschoss ein. Umgeben werden die Tische und Stühle von großformatigen Spiegeln, einer goldenen Backsteinwand und dekorativen Weinregalen.
