Colourful Thonet classics for the BDDR law firm in Vienna

BDDR’s newly remodelled office space in Vienna was created by locally based interior designers Behan & Thurm. The concept: bright, spacious rooms with high ceilings and furniture that epitomises classic design. Thonet’s S 64 iconic cantilever chairs – based on a design by Marcel Breuer from 1929/30 – are the perfect addition to the firm’s meeting room.

These popular tubular steel chairs add pops of colour to the otherwise understated office space. No two chairs are the same. The wooden elements in stained beech range from black-grey, lemon yellow and dove blue to olive green, reed green, coral red, grey-green and dark blue. Matching wooden armrests and a canework seat reinforced with synthetic mesh make these classic pieces particularly comfortable. With their clear lines and timeless aesthetics, the chairs are light and bright, setting the scene for lively discussions during the lawyers’ daily meetings.
