BAIERL + DEMMELHUBER IN TÖGING AM INN, UPPER BAVARIA

With more than 500 employees in ten offices, the owner-managed company baierl + demmelhuber has been realising sophisticated interior design projects for shops, offices, hotels, public buildings and many more since 1964. As a reaction to the increasing number of employees at the head offices in Töging am Inn, an existing office area was converted into a cafeteria. Under the leadership of interior designer Eva Demmelhuber, the “Lunchbox” was created: a comprehensive gastronomic area including a kitchen, lounge and a café. The goal of the conversion was to establish an oasis for breaks with a relaxing atmosphere. 

Four Thonet chairs 808 offer a place of retreat in the lounge area of the “Lunchbox”. As a reinterpretation of the classic wing chair, this lounge chair provides a place of rest to refresh energy and inspiration. It also stimulates relaxed conversations. The upper part of chair 808 protectively wraps around the user like a collar. The wave-shaped, comfortable upholstery invites people to stay for a while, while the swivel frame and integrated synchronous mechanism enable the chair to be flexibly adjusted to any position. With an inside cover in the discrete “Cocos” shade of grey and grey nappa leather on the outside, the 808 perfectly fits in with the greyish-blue colour world of the lounge area.
