An explosion of colour in the smallest of spaces: in the 30-square-metre apartment, Studio 16, designed by architect and designer Fabian Freytag, yellow stripes spanning the entire ceiling create a real focal point. At the same time, the pattern, together with the reflective stainless-steel cabinets and the use of lots of white, makes the room appear larger. Carefully placed accents in black and selective vivid hues breathe life into the apartment.
A particularly eye-catching piece in the kitchen is the tubular-steel S 33 N cantilever chair in the Thonet All Seasons edition. With its light-grey tubular steel frame and copper-orange synthetic mesh on the seat and backrest, the chair picks up colour accents from the rest of the apartment’s design. Their use in Studio 16, however, also shows how well the vividly coloured models can work as specific accent pieces in interior design too.
