SOLO OFFICE
Experimental holiday architecture in the midst of the Catalan wilderness is what French real estate developer Christian Bourdais wanted from twelve architects he considers members of the international “New Garde”. Each house was to be different and would possibly question conventions. Now, the second object in the “Solo Houses” series has been completed: Belgian architects Kersten Geers and David Van Severen (Office KGDVS) designed a ring shaped building that blends with its surrounding landscape in an impressive way, becoming almost invisible. Located on a plateau with an ocean view, a house without back or front and with a protected atrium with a pool at its centre was constructed.
