JAFFA HOTEL IN TEL AVIV, ISRAEL

The Jaffa Hotel in Tel Aviv´s Jaffa district is just a few minutes’ walk from the beautiful beaches of the Mediterranean. From the outside, it’s obvious that the hotel is encased within a landmark building. The former hospital was built in the Neo-Renaissance period and has its very own fascinating charm. Restored by British designer John Pawson and the local architects Ramy Gill, The Jaffa is now famous for being Israel’s leading luxury lifestyle hotel. The interior is furnished in a high-quality, contemporary style. Guests of the 5-star establishment can feel right at home on five floors with a total of 120 rooms.

More than 70 Thonet chairs complete the hotel’s discretely luxurious interior design. In Golda’s Delicatessen restaurant, two classics were used – the upholstered coffee house chair 214 P and the bentwood barstool 204 P. The upholstery of the dark-stained chairs is covered in green leather and forms a beautiful contrast with the light floors and plaster and exposed stone walls. In the guest rooms, John Pawson used classics, as well – here, in tubular steel: the set tables B 97 b and several S 533 L cantilever chairs contribute to the hotel rooms’ comfort. The filigree chairs in brown buffalo leather perfectly integrate in the King David luxury suite, which is dominated by soft, earthy colours and shades of brown.
