Short-term living in style: Thonet furniture features in Hamburg’s QUARTIER 040
The HAVENS LIVING urban housing concept offers flexible accommodation in different German cities in beautiful, fully equipped apartments with access to modern community spaces. For the apartments in QUARTIER 040 in Hamburg Altona, interior architects brandherm + krumrey, in collaboration with the planning platform nuucon, have created three distinct interior concepts. The furnished apartments have been designed around the themes Zen, Tech and Artist, each of which will appeal to a range of professionals looking for a temporary base in Hamburg.
The Tech look combines modern elements with classic elegance, incorporating iconic tubular steel pieces from Thonet. The black furniture in the dining area and matching kitchen counter/bar could almost have been cast from a single mould. A glass partition with a black metal frame divides the space into separate living, dining, working and sleeping zones. The elegant look is then brought together with dark wooden floorboards. Two bright yellow armchairs in the living area inject a splash of colour and create an inviting space to relax.
