With his design of the 520 for Thonet, Marco Dessí has created a contemporary interpretation of an upholstered chair that forms a direct link to the heritage of the furniture manufacturer in Frankenberg, Germany. The 520 exudes an elegance that echoes the culture and history of the classic Thonet bentwood chair. In his design, Dessí has filled the open spaces between the bentwood elements with comfortable upholstery, thus combining the lightweight design of the classic chair with ultimate comfort. A chair that fits in numerous settings – around a home dining table, for seating in an elegant restaurant or even in a work meeting. The chair range is now available with and without armrests in a wide variety of different materials.
