Simply smart: The A 1750 conference table system

Nowadays, many office and meeting spaces have to be multifunctional. Where we work, how we work and how we share ideas and information – new concepts are in constant abundance. These ever-changing use scenarios establish a need for flexible table systems that combine aesthetics and functionality.

Thonet’s new A 1750 conference table system provides the perfect response: a high-end product that can be configured for countless different requirements. The details of its clever construction and smart design make all the difference. The A 1750 features an ingenious frame and a range of tabletops in different sizes and formats. An imaginative system for linking the tables makes it easy to arrange them in a variety of ways.

Intelligent design combining multifunctional use with clean lines

For the A 1750 system, German designer Uwe Sommerlade has created table legs with elegant, well thought-out geometry and versatile tabletops. The legs are attached in pairs to create an A-frame element that can be configured to match the depth of the tabletop. Leg pairs for the ends of the table are available in two different attachment options, either running parallel to the tabletop or at a 45° angle. This provides ample leg room for everyone around the table, regardless of whether they are sitting on the long side, at the head or foot, or on a corner.

Numerous tabletop formats and easy setup

Another advantage of the A 1750 is its ease of movement and reconfiguration. Thanks to Thonet’s tried-and-tested linking system, large conference table arrangements can be set up quickly and easily. Alternatively, they can be split into single tables or smaller meeting-room arrangements without the use of tools. The tabletops are available in four depths and three lengths. A boat-shaped format completes the range. Table arrangements can be configured using the pCon planning tool and the tabletops are available in the standard surface finishes from the Thonet portfolio.

Thoughtful design and functionality at every turn: structure and accessories

The legs, made of over 95% recycled aluminium, are also available with a magnetic insert that allows all the cables to be run through the inside of the frame in a concealed cable duct – a functional and aesthetically pleasing solution. Many different accessories can also be incorporated into the table system, including power sockets, multimedia modules and modesty panels. As an alternative to aluminium, the table legs are also available in oak (without a cable duct), lending the collection a warm note without being too heavy. Adjustable gliders under the table legs allow the tables to be easily manoeuvred without needing to be lifted.
