Christian Werner, born 1959 in West-Berlin, studied industrial design in Berlin and Hamburg. After graduating in 1986, he first worked as an full-time designer before starting work as a freelancer in 1992.
In addition to designing and developing furniture for various European manufacturers, he realises various interior design projects, e.g. for advertising agencies, apartments, stores and trade fair presentations. For both his spatial concepts and furniture designs, Christian Werner is seeking the suspense in simplicity. A reserved overall picture, balanced proportions and sophisticated details characterise his work. For him, design is a question of attitude, which is mainly based on a gut feeling; it is the expression of emotions through forms and materials.
